CONSIGNING TO FIRST ARTS
THE BENEFITS OF CONSIGNING TO FIRST ARTS
One important innovative concept built into the First Arts partnership is our ability to offer consignors different options. Because we are a hybrid auction-retail company we are able to sort works consigned from your collection into live auctions, retail galleries, online exhibitions, or online auctions, thus affording each object its optimal sales potential.
We accept consignments of classic Inuit (Eskimo) sculptures, prints, drawings and textile arts, as well as fine First Nations and Métis art at all times of the year for our program of auctions and exhibitions. We are happy to offer free verbal appraisals of individual works and complete collections.
For a free consultation or to book a consignment appointment please contact Ingo Hessel at 613.818.2100 or ingo@FirstArts.ca
We are looking for high quality Inuit works of art from the classic and modern periods (sculptures, prints and drawings, and textiles). These are only a few of the artists whose works we are interested in:
We are also looking for fine historical and modern examples of First Nations and Métis art from the Northwest Coast and elsewhere (masks, argillite, totem poles, paintings, rattles, blankets and textiles, baskets, jewelry etc.) by these artists and Nations as well as many others:
Benjamin Chee Chee
Heiltsuk (Bella Bella)
Nuxalk (Bella Coola)
We also seek excellent prehistoric, classic and modern examples of works from Alaska (Yup’ik, Inupiaq, Aleut, St. Lawrence Island, Punuk etc.), and Greenland (tupilaks, masks etc.).
