In celebration of their 40th anniversary, Kinngait Studios published Cape Dorset 1959-1999, which commemorated the past four decades of printmaking in Kinngait and included works from the archives. Twilight Owl, with its almost ethereal white form on grey paper, was featured on the cover of the catalogue.

Innukjuakju was the wife of the renowned graphic artist Pudlo Pudlat (1916-1992). A total of seventeen prints were based on her drawings in the 1960s. Twilight Owl is one of the most successful Cape Dorset print experiments using different coloured papers. The motif itself is simple and very charming; its printing “in reverse” on dark paper makes it a very striking image.
