While Kinngait has been producing graphics continuously since 1959, several Inuit communities across Nunavut and Nunavik have established printmaking programs with varied levels of success. Clyde River produced fewer than 100 images, beginning with a few consecutive annual collections in the early 1980s and followed by revival attempts in the late 1990s. In hindsight, it is unfortunate that the Clyde River prints did not enjoy a greater reception in the southern market, as many excellent images remain virtually unknown to most collectors. This memorable image captures the myriad activities of traditional camp life in a manner that feels both frenzied and harmonious.
