Bird’s Eye View of Two Otters in the Water with a Fish offers a striking shift in perspective. Rather than modelling forms in the round, the artist flattens the composition into a sculptural tableau, as if viewed from directly overhead. The otters are stretched sleekly across the stone’s surface, their bodies flowing in rhythm with the carved eddies of water. A single fish, its scales carefully incised, is nestled between them like a shared prize. The scene feels both still and kinetic, as if frozen mid-swim.
