A lone kayaker paddles at left, rendered in muted greys and browns, while a larger green boat with sail and flag anchors the right side of the image. Two ochre birds sweep across the sky, their wings outstretched, linking the vessels below with a sense of rhythm. The broad expanse of dark water grounds the drawing, setting the figures in quiet dialogue with the open sea.
