Kangiqsualujjuaq has a unique make up of natural influences; located at the mouth of the George River on the east coast of Ungava Bay with the Hudson Straight and Labrador Sea close by, it is one of the northernmost villages in Nunavik to still have a forest environment. The region’s populace of caribou have provided a bounty of antlers to generations of artists, and this work is a beautiful example of Kangiqsualujjuaq’s unique space between the land and the sea.
