This multifigure argillite pole depicts an eagle, mountain goat, and possibly a Wasco consuming a human. The pole is stylistically similar to several by John Cross, particularly in the roundness of the sculpture, the way the nostrils, muzzles, and eyes of the figures are formed, and the slight flaring of the teeth on the goat figure. All of these features point to a possible attribution to John Cross. The wood base is a recent addition to the pole.
