The Art Gallery of Ontario noted on her recent solo exhibition that "[Victoria] Mamnguqsualuk’s style features confident and diverse lines that create a landscape in motion—one filled with people, animals, and beings from the spirit world. There are no empty arctic vistas in her work." Untitled (Scene from the Story of Qiviuq?) keeps to this immediately recognizable aspect of Mamnguqsualuk’s work, showing a visual cacophony of activity. Beasts and spirit alike converge on the central figure, perhaps Qiviuq, in a whirl of snarling teeth and projected tongues
