Though prolific in her drawing output during her life, only a select few Eleeshushe Parr’s drawings were ever chosen to head into the Kinngait Print Studio. Kayak Hunter was one of the select few, further rarified by its later release as part of the 2002 Spring Collection, forty years after its original creation. Striking with only one colour of ink, the hunter is poised to strike at his target. Both the kayak and the seal float on the paper, the water and ice an illusion to the viewer.
