Known for her surreal vision when putting pencil to paper, Egg shows Shuvinai Ashoona's subtle insertion of daily life and everyday northern objects in the abstract The cluster of ulus, knives, and axes jumble into an almost repeat pattern, featuring little bursts of colour on the green background of the egg. It can be argued that is either the decorative outer shell of the egg, or the swirling innards viewed straight through the shell or cut away.
