As one of her last works to be included in the Annual Print Collection, Square Dance is an interesting contrast to her other works. The bird-like figures are repeated like a lot of her prints, but in a far more linear way. The scratchy, feathered texture of the figures is surrounded by the directional lines of penciled in background, the shading and depth dutifully copied by printer Niviaksie Quvianaqtuliaq in this lithograph. While each pair in the quartets bows to their partners, the trio in the upper corner manages the dance without a forth.
