Moored was one of three works by Shuvinai Ashoona in the 2008 Annual Print Collection. Together with Camp Site and Pipe Dream, the three works can read as a narrative of arriving at a camp by the water, and then relaxing with a quiet smoke. Moored is positively diminutive by comparison to the scale of most works by Shuvinai, but the smaller scale and gentle haze of the aquatint really lend to the calm, serene feel of this scene.
