Similar in its well-placed glow of aquatint to Lot 3, Sunlit Ravens, Ravens at Twilight has a deeper colour that highlights the birds during their evening's activities. A burst of plumage sprouts from the central raven, as if almost taken unaware. The fish at his feet is likely hoping this will be enough of a distraction to avoid being dinner, but perhaps this is too wishful of a thought!
