Built low and broad, the back of this polar bear swells into a single, continuous arc, while the legs read as steady columns set wide for balance. Its head pushes forward and the open mouth becomes the main cue for its charming, toothless growl. The artist has not included any indication of teeth within the blunt snout, so the expression stays playful rather than furious. Lovely.
