Golden Goose by Kenojuak Ashevak is a masterpiece of colour and form, capturing the essence of movement in a still image through expert composition and use of vibrant hues. The golden tones of the goose radiate against a backdrop of gradient colours, ranging from a deep cool blue to a warm, fiery orange at the centre. The bird's wings are outstretched in a dynamic arch, embodying the grace and power of flight.

The lithography, executed by Pitseolak Niviaqsi, reflects his mastery of the medium. Niviaqsi's skill is evident in the intricate textures and the seamless overlay of colours, which suggest a meticulous and deliberate process to achieve such a vivid and precise outcome. The choice of colours is not just visually striking but also evocative, lending the goose a majestic and almost mythical air.

The composition is balanced yet full of energy, with the curvature of the goose's neck and the spread of its wings creating a sense of circular motion that draws the eye inward. The goose itself is depicted with a stylized elegance, its feathers decorated with fine lines that add texture and depth.
