Etidlooie began to produce artworks in the late 1950s following the death of her first husband. Following her move to Kinngait in the mid 1960’s she began to focus on drawing. Along with her second husband Etidlooie Etidlooie (1910-1981) she joined the West Baffin Eskimo Cooperative. While perhaps best known for her vibrant acrylic paintings on paper she also made some stellar graphics in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. Our favourites are those which feature an image within a larger image such as this wonderful Dog Dreams of Seal or the wonderful 1969 stonecut entitled Bird of Fertility.
