A modern twist on a timeless Northern motif, this work reimagines the classic drum dance with a contemporary flair. Instead of the traditional drum and beater, this figure jams out on a full five-piece drum set, featuring a bass drum with mounted tom-toms and a kick pedal; a snare drum, hi-hats, and two cymbals. A small post on the bass drum even hints at a cowbell, adding a playful touch to this modern interpretation. Seated on his stool, drumsticks in hand, this musician’s intense focus radiates as he immerses himself in the rhythm, fully absorbed in the beat.
