Small in scale, this female figure carries undeniable heft. She settles low and wide, as if resting after a labourious day, her weight spreading calmly across the ground. Rounded, buoyant forms shape the composition: limbs thicken into smooth cylinders, the torso swells into a generous mass, and the face broadens so expression comes through volume rather than detail. The open lap widens the silhouette and anchors the figure at the centre of her own gravity, creating an expanded field of care through pure shape and stance. Lovely.
