This handsome pair brings two very different forms together through a shared language of bold geometric patterning. The rectangular basket is tightly fitted with a flat lid, its surface animated by linked diamonds in cream, black and red that continue across the top and sides. The berry basket is broader and more open, with gently sloping walls and a tall double handle that gives the form an almost architectural presence. Bands of dark and reddish-brown decoration punctuate its warm cedar surface, while the handle’s linen wrapping and later wire reinforcement add another layer of texture.
