A fascination with fluid movement runs through Eegyvudluk Ragee's contributions to the 1960 Annual Print Collection. Her figures seem scarcely contained by the sheet, their limbs splayed and suspended in space, as though caught in the midst of some extraordinary motion. Sky Stars is no exception, with two celestial beings floating freely through the heavens, their legs curled as though sprung from a tremendous leap and their many appendages reaching into the surrounding expanse. For all their fantastic invention, there is something wonderfully familiar about these curious creatures. Antlers, hands, feet and slender fingers emerge from their strangely assembled bodies, while their wide eyes and quizzical expressions lend them an unmistakably human charm. Perhaps the Man in the Moon has some company after all.
