This sculpture can be identified as one of the earliest works in this group of sculptures by Tigullaraq because of its small feet (!). Interestingly, it looks rather more naturalistic than the later examples, even though it has a somewhat archaic look that reminds us of similarly posed early 1950s Inukjuak works by the likes of Akeeaktashuk and others. Although subtle, there is a nice sense of balance and movement in this sculpture.
