Kenojuak Ashevak's Birds I Imagine is a striking print that captures the viewer's imagination with its whimsical composition and vibrant colours. The artwork showcases Kenojuak's iconic style and her chosen motif, with an assemblage of birds that are both fantastical and symbolic, rendered in bold lines and patterns. Notably, while the majority of editions of this print feature a palette that includes the eggplant-like purple paired with a vibrant blue, this particular piece is an unusual and rare find as it exclusively harnesses the depth and mystery of the aubergine. This monochromatic choice focuses the viewer's attention on the interplay of form and space.
