Embroidery Designs of Indigenous Communities in Canada, 1955/56-60Three bound 6 x 9 inch books, together with 35 loose sheets of 6 x 9 inch paper of pencil crayon drawings by HAROLD PFEIFFER (CANADIAN, 1908-1997), documenting the various embroidery designs of duffle socks and parkas of the Inuit in Arctic Canada;
Together with a 9 x 12.5 inch bound book, with pencil crayon sketches by HAROLD PFEIFFER (CANADIAN, 1908-1997), primarily of the same as above, with two exceptions;
Together with a 6 x 9 inch loose sheet with pencil crayon drawing by HAROLD PFEIFFER (CANADIAN, 1908-1997) of an Inuit basket;
Together with two loose 8 x 6.5 inch red pencil crayon by HAROLD PFEIFFER (CANADIAN, 1908-1997) of Cree embroidery designs, with colour notations and variously inscribed. Accompanied by a 3 x 5 in recipe card extensively inscribed in blue pen and ink.
Together with a large Government of Canada ledger envelope, variously inscribed by HAROLD PFEIFFER:
"These may be of / some historical value / one day / HP";
"6 Lake Harbour / 10 Povungnituk / 11 Port Harrison / 5 Sugluk";
