Falling out of Bed was issued in 1999 as one of three special releases from Feheley Fine Arts, made in the year of Sheojuk Etidlooie’s death.

The print is large and the scale gives the scene room to breathe. Colour is pared back to grey and black, and it is used with great control. A pale, mottled field of aquatint spreads across the sheet, powdery and scuffed. These greys are anything but lifeless. They allow the composition to carry feeling through shape and placement. Two figures lean toward one another with faces turned and mouths opened in shared amusement, and the whole scene lands on a familiar human moment: one figure is caught mid-tumble and held there with a generous sense of humour.
