    One of Canada's leading sculptors, the art of Abraham Anghik Ruben has evolved considerable over his lengthy career in both content and scale. In the present work, subtle refinements, such as the slight tilt of the man's torso, the tension in the openwork of the line and bent legs, and the elegance of the twisting complex of animal spirits below the ice, all make for an impressive sculpture that begs to be viewed in the round.
