    signed and inscribed, "Eli Tait / Metlakatla / Alaska";
    further inscribed by the artist to describe the figures, "Thunder / Bird / Eagle / Wolf";
    further inscribed by the artist, "[indistinct] Totem / of / Metlakatla / Alaska".
