Here, the artist presents the viewer with a scene that, while bawdy, is ultimately entirely ordinary: a lone Inuk has, presumably, awoke in the middle of the night and, not wishing to brave the elements, elects to urinate in a nearby bucket. This decidedly unheroic work speaks to Davidialuk's unique response to the often gallant pictorial representations, both Inuit and southern, of men in the Canadian arctic.
