While there are some variations, the creature Kalupalik (Qalupalik) were used as a cautionary tale to prevent young children from getting to close to the floe edge, less they be...While there are some variations, the creature Kalupalik (Qalupalik) were used as a cautionary tale to prevent young children from getting to close to the floe edge, less they be snatched up by the qallupilluit and taken down into the cold waters in the creature's large hood. The sea creature are rumoured to have oily, green skin, which Kaptuna has finely replicated in a green stone with a high polish.
