As with many of his works, Davidialuk extensively inscribed the underside of the present lot. Translated, the text reads, "A legend of transformation to seagulls." It is clear that the work is intended to be viewed from all angles, with spectator's eye entertained by the continuous movement and theatricality instilled in the composition.
