The theme of the family, and in particular a mother with her child or children, proved in exhaustible for Tasseor, as well as many other artists across the Canadian arctic.  Characteristic of the artist's more rough hewn style of the mid 1970s, this small-scale work shows a mother in serene repose as she supports two infants on what appears to be a monumental lap.  Despite Tasseor's minimalistic carving style, the work is a moving interpretation of the eternal and unerring maternal love.
