    Denny Dixon comes from a long line of argillite carvers and is the grandson of renowned Haida carver John Cross (1867-1939) and the younger brother of Pat Dixon (1938-2015). Dixon was heavily influenced by both his older brother and fellow Skidegate argillite carver, Pat McGuire (1943-1970).
