(PNIAI), in the early 1970s, which remained allied for about a decade. Its purpose was to promote the art of Canada's Indigenous peoples and foster new opportunities for emerging artists. In his pictures, Sánchez, PNIAI's only American member, works in a stylized semi-abstract manner that the artist himself describes as "“sensual and dreamlike, provocative and thought-inducing.”
