By comparison to its counterparts, Ecclesiast and Winter Angel (Lot 13), Arctic Angel has a singular colour for its printing but retains the complexity of repeated line designs that swirl around the figure. The wings in particular have an Escher-like quality to how they are attached to the figure and presented to the viewer.
