Presently, Williams is an education director with the North Caribou Lake Education Authority. In 2017, he co-curated the exhibition, Anishinaabeg: Art & Power at the Royal Ontario Museum.
The influence of Carl Ray can be strongly felt in Williams's works. His elegant lines and segmentation all show a clear homage to Ray. Whereas Morrisseau's formlines tend to obviously demarcate his forms, William's suggest a more complex relationship of line and colour.
Ground Hog is a strong image in its dramatic design, with the animal burrowing at a sharp diagonal across the sheet. This pitch of its tunnelling, along with its wide eyes, suggest that the animal is engrossed on the task at hand: excavation.
