Whether in large-scale whale bone constructions or small-scale antler pieces, Sikkuark combined his love of realistic detail, his mordant wit, his taste for organic materials of all types, and his fertile imagination to create works that are bizarre, grotesque, creepy, hilarious, and brilliant. We personally love the small antler compositions where, due to the relatively non-porous nature of the material, Sikkuark’s amazing carving skill is truly allowed to shine.
