Over a span of more than fifty years, Kenojuak lent her graphic creativity to the Kinngait (Cape Dorset) co-op. Her unique and easily identifiable themes and style often presented Arctic figures and environments with a strong focus on design and form. When paired with the exceptional printers at the Dorset studio, Kenojuak's unrivaled draftsmanship led to the creation of imaginative, evocative, and occasionally whimsical depictions of Canada's Arctic. With the utmost precision, in Untitled (Woman with Owls and Flora), we are presented with a young woman in the centre, whose bust seems to bloom from the purple leaves of a flower. She is flanked by two owls, who stare out with wide eyes as if they are appraising our — the viewer — intrusion.  Atop, emanating from the woman's parka, are two dazzling rays of yellow.
