Haida Myths is a portfolio of five lithograph prints in an edition of 200, produced by the Equinox Gallery in Vancouver. The five prints are based on graphite pencil drawings by Bill Reid illustrating core myths of the Haida, originally created for the book Raven Steals the Light by Robert Bringhurst and Bill Reid (see Lot XXXXX for one of the original drawings). Later in his career, with the advancing effects of Parkinson’s disease, the artist made wire sculptures and drawings in graphite while still designing and overseeing monumental sculptural works.
