A rare instance when Qavavau Manumie called upon a colleague to aid with the printing of his work for the collection, Inugagulligaq (Legend of the Little People) is a charming work with Qavavau's sense of humour and printmaker Pitseolak Niviaqsi's hand for subtle colour changes and details in Lithographs. Inugagulligaq are from stories passed down to Qavavau by his father, “the little people” that live within Inuit society, but largely remain unseen. Is this Inugagulligaq helping or hindering those larger folks around them? Who is to say?
