This dish features a killer whale-like supernatural being with horns or tentacles extending from the back of its head. The sea creature’s head, pectoral fins, and flukes have been carved in low relief inside the bowl with dorsal fin or fins incised on its back and decorated with crosshatching. The central figure is surrounded by five ovoids and six u-forms with crosshatched interiors. The overall impact of the imagery shown in the bowl is of a sea creature emerging from under the surface of the water. There is a groove carved around the rim of the dish that reenforces its canoe-like shape.
