As the mask opens via cords connected to...When closed, the exterior of the mask illustrates a raven, its wings meticulously painted in red and black formline on its beak. As the mask opens via cords connected to a raven head handle, it reveals a human face at its core, strikingly rendered in red and black with white teeth and a captivating cyan blue detail below the eyes. The sideboards are adorned with figures of opposing sea wolves, which are surrounded by traditional formline design elements: ovoids, U-forms, and split-U forms. The mask is framed by hammered cedar bark strips that form a textured fringe.
