While best...As a master printer Aoudla Pudlat was a major behind the scenes figure in Dorset printmaking but he also produced a not insignificant number of his own works. While best know for his fantastic images of avian wildlife Aoudla did occasionally deviate from his comfort zone. Aoudla moved from Kinngait to Qamani’tuaq in 1996 where he was instrumental in helping rekindle the interest in printmaking. This magnificent woodcut presages the contemporary Kinngait drawings of Itee Pootoogook and Tim Pitsiulak.
