Man and Woman with Dog is created in Kigusiuq’s classic late style: large human figures against a semi-abstract landscape, all drawn with intense and often blended colours. A few patches of white in the image, along with the outside border, remind us that the work is drawn on white paper. The leashed wolf-like dog is depicted in a curious and remarkable full-frontal view that gives no hint of the best of its body.

Collection of John and Joyce Price, Seattle.
