By his early 20s, Cee had segued from being a carver to working as a printmaker in the Cape Dorset print atelier where his mastery of carving was put to good use. Cee also began to draw scenes of traditional Inuit life and the animal citizens of the arctic. This charming scene of a submerged polar bear surrounded by a school of fish has a beautiful colour palette which is strangely reminiscent of works by his younger sister Annie Pootoogook.
