Although he participated in the 1960 and 1964 Cape Dorset annual print collections with one image apiece, Tikitu did not return to printmaking until after the death of his wife Lucy Qinnuayuak (1915-1982) who was likely the primary breadwinner in the family. Despite being in the shadow of his famous wife and equally famous siblings (Sheelaky (1902-1985), Niviaksiak (1908-1959), and Angotigolu Teevee (1910-1967), Tikitu produced a further 14 images from 1984 until his death in 1992. We love the aerial perspective of this well kitted out qajaq.
