Anguhadluq spent over fifty years living a traditional life on the land, including seasonal migrations to large communal fish camps each summer. This experience deeply influenced his art, where game animals like fish, caribou, and muskoxen frequently appear. Interestingly, rather than illustrating the act of fishing, Anguhadluq focuses solely on two fish, absent of any human presence. This choice seems to highlight, or even pay tribute to, the vital importance of these animals during the summer months.
