In the early days of production in Canada's North, artists were encouraged to blend utility with artistic expression, crafting functional objects that also carried a sense of artistry. This tradition is vividly embodied in these bookends, where practical design meets a burst of lively character. Each bookend showcases a charming sled dog, their playful tongue-out pants and postures frozen in mid-action. This animated spirit stands in striking contrast to the geometric solidity of the bases, creating a delightful balance between purpose and personality.
