This model staff presents an impressive composition, with a vertical narrative of interconnected figures stacked upon one another, each meticulously carved. From the top, we see a human figure holding...This model staff presents an impressive composition, with a vertical narrative of interconnected figures stacked upon one another, each meticulously carved. From the top, we see a human figure holding a clam. Below the human is a killer whale, its streamlined body and dorsal fin gracefully carved, suggesting both power and fluidity.
Next, an owl perches below, its feathers rendered with fine detail, contrasting the smooth forms of the surrounding creatures. Beneath the owl, another whale is depicted. At the base of the staff, a seated wolf, or possibly another predator, anchors the composition.
