The hat’s form adheres to the traditional bentwood style, featuring rounded shapes that lend fluidity to the overall composition. The carving is highly detailed, with bold, sinuous lines defining the sisiyutł's coiled body, which wraps around to form base of the hat. Its head faces forward, adorned with large, expressive eyes and a lolling tongue, while intricate patterns are both carved and painted onto its form. Above, the wolf’s head emerges, its nose tilted upward, with a calm yet alert posture that adds a sense of watchfulness to the piece.
