An Alaskan Tsimshian cedar bark basket with cherry designs applied with maidenhair fern and grass dating to the 1920’s or 1930’s. The basket is woven in a twining style with...An Alaskan Tsimshian cedar bark basket with cherry designs applied with maidenhair fern and grass dating to the 1920’s or 1930’s. The basket is woven in a twining style with a row of open twin weave near the rim. The designs are woven using a false embroidery method. The basket has a slight conical shape common among Tsimshian berry baskets.–Sarah Raven
