Using a wool duffle base with felt appliques and colourful decorative stitchwork, Gloria work features beautiful naturalistic forms that she creates herself. Deeply inspired by her mother, Gloria’s work is a visual record of their stories and memories, as well as a beautiful portrayal of various creatures of the north. Colourful Birds is a charming small work that highlight’s Gloria’s even feather stitching on a darker background. As some birds pose for their portrait, others are in midflight, wings spread and fluttering off the stroud.Provenance
